About Me
I am an experienced fine artist living in Nottingham, UK.
I am particularly inspired by cliff-top walks where there is a sense of infinity, as well as the intimate feeling of a beautiful sunset. My experience of living in Zambia in the 1970's influence my mark-making to this day (especially the memories of African dancing!).
I have been working as a fine artist since graduating from Leicester Polytechnic in 1982.
My work has been selected and exhibited worldwide. As well as exhibitions in Dallas, Vienna, Gothenburg and Midland (Texas), I am particularly proud to have shown my work in the prestigious TR/3 gallery in Ljubljana for which I received a British Council Award. Nationally, my work has been exhibited at The Royal Academy in London, as part of The Stowell’s Trophy Exhibition (my work having been selected whilst I was still a second year student on my B.A. (Hons.) Fine Art Course). After graduating, I was soon exhibiting in London galleries, such as The Showroom, Coventry Gallery and Lauderdale House. Locally, I have continued to exhibit in galleries and businesses in both my home town of Beeston and City of Nottingham.
